Stop the presses. We are now doing the adult storytime (aka the Fiction Allsorts storytime for knitters) every Thursday morning at 10:30 a.m.

Lake Oz Fiction Desk/Reader's Advisory news, plus links to stuff interesting or amusing from a Fic Chick point of view. This is not an official site of The City of Lake Oswego. Any opinions expressed here are my own and not that of my employer, The City of Lake Oswego. Contact me by putting ktaylor and the @ symbol in front of ci.oswego.or.us.

That kind of candy has always freaked me out a bit. Mostly because of the uncertainty of what it might taste like based on the way it looks.
Hmmm. I have a deep-seated love of sugar, so if I had any initial reservations about Licorice Allsorts, I quickly overcame them and dug in. Its super-sweet flavor and super-artificial coloring have proved a potent combination and it's now my favorite candy. Which makes it always on my mind and in part inspired me to name our adult storytime FICTION ALLSORTS. Which is what, in turn, inspired me to use the scary candy pics as illustration for that blog post. Ever über-wordily yours, The Fic Chick
It is probably more the fact that I am not a big fan of licorice that makes me shy away from these.
yup, that'd do it. :-)
